Missing the boat at the last whistle?

Very new pages were in, now they've been out for 24 hours

We created some new pages at the start of last week.
They were visited by the bot on Tuesday.

Then the update started. Other new pages appeared, but not the really recent ones. Then the really recent ones appeared, only to disappear a day later. Now we haven't seen the really recent ones on www3, www2 nor www for over 24 hours.

Is there still a chance they will return? Or can it be that they only nearly made it, missing the boat at the last whistle?

Thank you, by the way, for a great forum

It sounds like 'Fresh' listings. This happens when Google sees that the content changed (or is new), and adds it. After a day or two, if the content didn't change, or if Google didn't fetch it again, then the next set of fresh listings won't have it.

From your description, there's no particular reason to believe that the new pages won't be in the next update.

Thanks for the reply.
When you say:

"there's no particular reason to believe that the new pages won't be in the next update"

do you mean they may still be included in the July Update, or might we have to wait until August to see the new pages again in Google?

Cheers

I mean the next one, assuming that you are not in this one.

You could still get a 'Fresh' listing for some of the time during this cycle.
