hi
i just made some search in this forum, but i wasnt able to find some old discussion concernig to this topic - how much affect keywords from another site (except its PR) that links to me my PR. Has it some sense to look for the sites with similar keywords for linkexchange or can i just do linkexchange with everyone? thanks for your replies

vanekpavel, the best sites to obtain outbound links from share the "theme" of your web site and have a high PR value. Links from other sites won't hurt you as long as they are not bad "neighborhoods" (link farms etc...) but you should focus your first efforts on theme and high PR.

The consensus around here appears to be that Google pays no attention to themes at all. The impact on a site from inbound links is related to keywords in anchor text and PR passed from one site to another. You could run a link from a paving company to a light bulb retailer and it will have a beneficial impact on the retailer, especially so if the paving company has high PR and the link text contains the retailer's important keywords. But of course there is always the possibility that themes will be very important at Google with the August update. ;)

Nice summary, Beachboy. I wouldn't like to bet on proper link context in the August update, but it seems likely that it'll happen one day.
