Welp, the new google reindexing seems to be over on my end. The results were good on some keywords, bad on others.

Last month I was #1 for one of my keywords, bringing in a surge of traffic. However, this month rolled around, and the guy who was under neith me jumped up in page rank.

I went to check his site, and I did not see anything different. Disgruntled, i peeked at the source and saw that his main page was filled with little 1x1 pixel clear graphics that were links to a different domain name, tht had identical content has the first domain name.

What is up with these little webdots? Is it truly a way to increase my page rank?

Also, one last gripe. I was knocked down one page rank by a webpage that was nothing more than a page saying 'this page has moved' with a forwarding url. Doesent google sniff these out?

>>>This page has moved.

Probably high page rank doing that. It "should" drop out of the index next month....or at least go further down.

Contact the webmaster and "tell" him to get his link pop pointing to the new page ;) However, that will probably only compound to the prob of him being ranked high.

RE the 1x1

Its a bit of a "classic" method that I've noticed going down for years! You don't want to bother with them IMO - see what happens after the next update.
