My site have been manually deleted from the index. Today, it stopped appearing in it’s natural query. Normally, it was number one or two, now is not anymore arround. It is there if you look specifically for it (www.name-of-the-site.net), but not in its natural query (name-of-the-site). It is still there at www2 and www3, but not at www. It was there last time I checked (2 days ago). We suspect foul play from an aggressive competitor. Any ideas? It is a very well know site, have been arround since ´96, no problems until now.

Well, is up there again. It appears and disappears from www. It’s always at www2 and www3. I’m totally freak out.

Hi JSPain,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld.
Did you read paynt's welcome post [webmasterworld.com]? Nice way to get started here.

Dont panic. Just look at the moon. Everytime it is full, those kind of things happen. My advice is for you to go away from your computer for a week before you go nuts like most people around here. ;)

Dont get me wrong here JSPain,

Google traditionnaly updated the index on full moons. SERPs dance around and results are shifting around in some way. Most people around here go nuts (litteraly gaga) while this thing happends.

Thinghs will stabilise for most of the index in a week or so.

Yes, I´ve seen the "dancing" quite a few times in the past few month, but, until now, never seen the complete "vanishing" of a site. Site was number two, and suddenly, was not around anymore (I checked up to number 500). I was scary. Anyhow, it is there againg. Let´s see tomorow.

Thanks again

JSPain, try the adwords, their cycle is less dependant from the moon, ozone layer and other natural phenomenes than the core results...
