Google imposed a personal eternal "greybar" penalty topped-up with the occasional "whitebar" penalty
Never saw either... wondering what they mean (besides the obvious PR0).
What's the difference?

Gray means you are not in the index at all, white means PR0. White is usually worse, since most gray sites simply aren't yet indexed or were dropped for some technical reason (site down during spidering, database error, etc.). Occasionally, banned sites may also be gray and won't return even through multiple updates.
