Determination of Posting Dates on Google

I would appreciate any suggestions or ideas on how to determine the dates for postings on the web? I am interested in scientific articles which can be used for determining patentability of an invention. In order to use a posting in patents you have to have a publication date.

I am also interested in the determing the earliest date a page was crawled by google. The cached version on Google is the earliest version, but I don't know how to determine a date from that?

Thanks.

and welcome here chatterbot61.

the goofresh link will give you a latest (archive) cache date (do not know why Google does not do this in its own cache version)

Its a pity Google does not also show a date for "first cached version" as well, that could help in patent and copyright issues if you kept that page unchanged for that matter.

Is this what you mean?
