Basic page rank question

company.com PR 8?

I just went to the coca-cola website and noticed they had a PR 8. We al would be very happy with that, but how come they don't have a 10?

They don't deserve PR10. It's as simple as that. If they want PR10 the will have to work hard to get the necessary links.

Are you trying to tell me that about 6'750 pages in the Google index linking to coca-cola.com are not enough? Or that they all are crap?

And anyway, how comes WMW has only PR7?

I would tend to think PR10 is unreachable unless you are given it by google, I dont think anyone can just reach it with links. If it showed 6000+ inbound links to the domain they cant all be crap, they all have a high enough PR to show on the list?

Generally speaking you need some software/download/search relation presence to be able to have such a high Pagerank (PR10).

Nasa and Usatoday being the nice exceptions, the only ones offering real (non-software) proprietary content.

On average, I am gaining one PR4 and one PR5 link per week for my site, that gives me a nice horizon to look forward to..;)

Nice table vitaplease. Macromedia's download Flash page has 82,200 backlinks shown in Google. Adobe's download Acrobat URL shows 211,000 backlinks in Google.
