WWW2 and www3

Are they the future or the past?

Hello,

recently our website jumped from not-on-google to #3-on-google. Which as you can imagine was cause for celebration. However, just as quickly we're gone, banished to the third page. However, a quick look at www2 and www3 has us back at number #3. Am I seeing echoes of the past or visions of the future?

Does a ranking in both www2 and www3 generally indicate a change in basic google to come?

jimmyjammer,

Welcome to wmw!

Yes, www2 and www3 are where the new stuff "accumulates" or "gets integrated with" the existing
index.

If your site just appeared in the Google index, yes, you can expect it to fade in and out until the
next "official" update. This could be at the end of this month or the beginning of next month - it
varies. However, ranking well in w2 and w3 is a good sign.

There are lots of threads on this subject here - Try a site search for www2 and www3 if you'd like
more information.
