Let's say I have three sites...

Site A and Site B are cross-linked on every page. Site C has links on the index page to both Site A and B, and neither of them are reciprocated. For the last few months all of these links were being counted.

What appears to have happened now is that google is not counting any of the links whatsoever. If they detected Site A and B for cross-linking, that's fine, but why on earth would the links from Site C disappear? They aren't even reciprocated. On the other hand, I don't think I've been punished considering all three sites are still PR5 like they were before... so what's the deal? Any theories or similar experiences to contrast?

The only thing I can think of is that all three sites are virtually hosted and therefore have the same IP. Did google suddenly decide that no links on the same IP address can count, even if there's just one? This would be truly absurd...

Wait - I take back my last post - apparently the links aren't missing. Google is just being confusing (as usual).

As already mentioned in other threads, the "backwards links" part of the google toolbar doesn't seem to work anymore, and neither does link:www.yourdomain.com. When I first posted this I was using +www.mydomain.+com and the links that were once there were gone, but I assumed the results were correct because it was displaying all of the other normal links I'm accustomed to seeing.

What IS working, and from what I can tell is currently the most accurate way to determine links, is info:www.mydomain.com and then clicking on the "see who is linking to your site" link. Why this is different than link:www.mydomain.com command I don't know, but apparently it is (it didn't used to be).
