I would like to ask how much could a site be benefited when it has a text link from a same topic/theme that holds a PR6 and the the text link goes to a site with a PR5?
Both sites have a high PR and a well themed structure with few external links...

I don't know if this is much help, but I have an interior page that's PR6 and linked to from the PR7 homepage of a US Government Agency.

What matter is the "link value" from the page in which is linking to your site. While I alwasy like to start looking for links from sites with higher pagerank what really matters is:

+ the pagerank that the page is
+ how many links are on the page
+ the text of the link

So if you see a page that has a pagerank of 6 and 1000 links on it the "link value" would be lower than say a page rank 4 page with 1 link on it.

Hope this helps,

The one link from the PR6 page may carry as much weight as all your others put together, or more, or less.

In terms of your ranking, the link text could help boost you considerably; probably moreso than just due to the PageRank you get.
