only 10 of my 160 inbound reciprocal links have been updated by google so they are not showing.Ive noticed that my homepage has been updated daily and so have all pages linked from it.So what ive done is put all the urls to the pages linking to my homepage on the bottom of my homepage.then ive made them the same colour as my background .gif. to hide them.Otherwise it looks silly to people viewing my site.I'm planning to leave them there till my next update and then remove them.My thinking is that then google will have reason to reindex the pages linking to me.Will this work? is it a risk do you think?

I personally would feel very worried about doing anything that could upset google and hiding links like that could. Why not just have a link from index page to your links page google will follow it

yep.. suicidal!

at the most i would have a small text link at the bottom saying "referrers" or "friends" or "sites that like us" linking to a page with those URLs. If you can write a quick review of each, so much the better! You can probably take it off when all have been indexed but they would probably index them naturally if they are at all useful (reasonable PR) given a few weeks.

But it does sound a borderline "trying to influence our database to your advantage" if i was Google. Patience if you can afford it.

what i will do is not hide them...ill put a line saying other travel realted link pages. The problem is i have a directory where all reciprocal links are placed.I have a link from my homepage to my directory page. And though the directory page gets updated the links dont.Only the first level of links are being re-indexed.i have proved this because even the links within my own site will only be re-index from the first level of the link from the homepage.if google has to follow a link from a link within the site is still wont update the second level link.
