Interlinking Product Website / Review Website

can I connect two sites on most pages?

I'm developing an online bookstore that sells books to a specific niche. I'm considering developing one website that contains the actual commercial systems, and another website that is devoted to reviews of these books, but interlinked with the commercial website. Assuming that there is substantial content on both the product page and the review page, is there the possibility of a penalty for interlinking between the product and review pages if they are on different sites?

eg. if I have a link to a review for a particular book on that book's product info page on the commercial domain, and the review on the review domain links back to the product page, could I get PR0'd?

There is quite a lot of discussion about this at the moment. Chef Brian asks about linking two domains here:
[webmasterworld.com...]

Some people believe that it's OK to cross link 10 domains:
[webmasterworld.com...]

Also, Nick_W started a few threads (last week, I think?) about cross linking where most of the pros and cons were aired.

Hi MortalFrog (great name, by the way)

I have some sites with a similar structure to what you are proposing.

I have a lot of deep links to specific pages from another site and I've had no problems from cross linking penalties. I did get a PR0 when I put the link 'pages provided by blahblah' on every page of one of the client sites (luckily enough I have fully recovered from that)
