Brett and everyone else, wasn't yahoo google contract expiring on jul. 1? if yes, did yahoo decide to continue with google?

The rumor mill has been in full out on this thing for the last 90 days. Hardly a day goes by when something new isn't rumored. The current hot one, is that there was a 30day extension to the current contract for further negotiations between the involved parties.

I'm wondering if the FTC disclosure issue is a consideration here. If Yahoo! has to disclose that the Fast results are laden with paid submissions, it may be a black eye in the credibility department.

Last time I checked into it, the consensus was that Yahoo was using PageRank as a determining factor in positioning in their directory. Question: Will that go away if Yahoo hooks up with some other SE provider than Google?
