Ok, I just did this search. I miss-spelled simpsons. But check out the cool Shameless self-promotion they are now doing. Very cool. I like the fact they call it just what it is.

I just noticed it @ the bottom of one of my searches. hahahha google is very shameless about it ;) hMmmm I wonder if they charge themselves to advertise like AOL does to write off billions in advertising losses ? ;)

Yeah, I just ran into that a few minutes ago on Google Groups. I thought it was clever.

pretty clever, indeed. And I like the color.
Someone has to say it, so I will: Is this the precursor to more paid advertising on google? Wait until that little box at the bottom is an ad for herbal viagra, and then we'll see how clever it is!

I think it is good. As long as the clearly say what they are doing. Then I think it is aboveboard. And I don't think they will slide. (fingers crossed)

Good sense of humour. (or in this case humor).

Even better humor:

Try your query on: AltaVista Excite Lycos Yahoo!

at the bottom!

Lisa, if I press refresh on your simson query link on your first message of this thread, the top advert dissapears..

The advert does not show on local versions of Google (at least the google.nl), even when searching for English queries.
