I was going through my logfiles and noticed a referral from [search2.cometsystems.com...] - you know, the spammy cursor program? Well I didn't know they had a search function, but they get google's data after some ppc listings. If you click on the "archive" on a listing you'll see google's cache with one nice addition - the archived page is dated.

This date must be given to them in the API that interfaces back to Google.

I wonder why Google doesn't make that date available on their own site?

Nice spot wingslevel!

Anyone know where the "Related Web Searches Found" comes from?

Is it me going mad, or is cometsystems not showing correct archived dates.

I have checked and double checked and it shows most sites as having been archived between 2nd-8th June.

This includes big sites like BBC.co.uk which Google clearly shows as 11th July. even our homepage which in Google is freshly cached shows as being from early june?

any comments from anyone?
