I bought few expired domain names not because of some existing backlinks for them but i could not find relevant meaningful domain names. I checked before buying and they were not listed with google or yahoo. All the sites now have hundreds of links from other relevant sites in six weeks. But only 40% of them are now indexed by google and only 3 in yahoo. Out of the total domain names( should i say sites now) most of them are being visited by googlebot regularly but not yet indexed. Threre are three sites which are not even being visited by googlebot even after getting hundreds of links.
Now what should i expect about sites which are being visited by googlebot but not indexed? And what about sites which are not even visited by googlebot after so many weeks?
What should i do about them?
I have searched a lot and found different threads with suggestions of sending an email to webmaster@google.com but the same threads also discuss about automated responses and no reply.
So what can people like me do and expect.
What is policy of google and yahoo in this regard?
I will appreciate all suggestions and options.
Thanks.

>>>All the sites now have hundreds of links from other relevant sites in six weeks<<<

For a start having hundreds of links pointing to a domain in just 6 weeks is un natural and not recommended.

In my experience expired domains are useless and a headache you can do with out. Your causing your self unnecessary problems when you could be using the time more constructively with a brand new fresh domain with no history or baggage. Re-inclusion requests can some times be quick and in most cases months.

If you really want to work with these domains concentrate on the ones that have been indexed and apply for a re-inclusion request for the others, tell G or Y you are the new owner with fresh new content, however i wouldnt count on much help from either.

Thanks for your answer. But can i assume that the domains which have been indexed will be treated as fresh new sites?

In theory, yes.

From what I have seen, some expired domains with links showup/appear, while some do not. It's like playing Russian Roulette.

Now what should i expect about sites which are being visited by googlebot but not indexed? Is it just a matter of time and they will be indexed. And what about sites which are not even visited by googlebot after so many weeks?

"In theory, yes."
I did not buy these domains for any links. Instead when i got them they were not even listed in any search engine. What i really want to know is once they are indexed they will be treated as other new sites or will carry some inherent disadvantage?
That is important. Because nowadys whenever i search for good meaningful domain names in competitve trades they are either owned by someone or are found in expired domains. I personally feel that expired domain is a wastage for the entire community and rather than advising each other to forget them we need to think about it.
