Greeting,

If this thread has already been covered, please let me know where to read about it.

I was recently made aware that Google had cached some of our site pages under the year 1969.

Does anyone know anything about this problem and if there is any way to fix it?

I had 2 sites with this problem. I fixed one by pointing higher pr links to it. Googlebot is going crazy reindexing the site. I plan to get higher pr links to fix the second one but so far, no luck. Good luck.

All that date means is that Google didn't store the date when it cached the page.

Those pages are several months old or more, and only a problem if you have changed the content since the cache was created.

I think Google views them as second class pages. Either dupes or orphans. If they're dupes, the dupe that Googlebot sees need to be removed, if they're orphans they need to be linked.
