I am advertising in a few different places and as a friendly jester or part of the advertising these sites put my logo on their front page with a link to my site. The problem is that they don't use alt text. These are PR6 or so sites, so will the links count?

For those using text browsers, nope.

Getting a good listing in Google is one thing.
Getting *visitors* in response to it is another...
And that's the one that matters...

Do try to make your site accessible - it's not in conflict with SEO, it's part of it...
