Google had penalized my site for some duplicate content. Anyway I am trying to remove some pages from my site and I see that automatic URL removal system from [services.google.com...] do not work. What is happening? Is this just a server error or Google was hit hard by lots of webmasters that want to get their duplicate pages removed?

When you click on automatic URL removal system provided by Google, you would get the following error :

Page cannot be Dispalyed

HTTP 500 - Internal Server Error

I have been noticing this since the last 24 hrs.

it works for me now, but I have a question Im one of the 10000 that have got hit by Googles bugs on redirecting.

If I removed my site from Google with the removal tool and waited untill it is gone, then changed the robots.txt again to allow googlebot agian, what would happen.

I have just sent the question to Googlebot also.

It works now for me too now.
I do not know if this would work. I have some subdirectories that are redirected to my main page trough 301 or 302. I am trying to remove them and get rid of this evil filter.

Have i missed something....is it no longer acceptable to do these types of redirects?

Google employees need to start working weekends. That removal tool was down since Friday. And no progress is getting made with respect to other bugs/issues. They need to join the rest of the world and work irregular hours/shift work, etc to get their mess cleaned up.
