PR 7 - what kind of links do you need?

How many/what type of links do you need?

Ok, a rather specific thread which I hope some people can respond to.

We run about 4 or 5 sites as part of our business and we have approximately 5 or 6 PR 6 pages, perhaps 30 PR 5 pages, 50+ PR 4 pages and perhaps 200+ PR 3 and below PR 3 pages. We're going to create a company website soon with our company name at the bottom of all these pages. My question is quite simple, will our company homepage reach PR 7?

Any information is gladly received...

Probably a 6 - Be careful with the cross linking though

My question is quite simple, what difference does our answer here make?

Do you have more than one strategy?
If not, try the one strategy you have, and report back.

If you have more than one, then tell us the choices so we can advise you.

Your question isn't quite simple - it has a hidden agenda <smile>

Run Of Site (ROS) links can be problematic. Google seems to be penalizing sites that have an inordinate number of incoming links all with identical anchor text.

4-5 sites of PR 5 or 6 is not going to be enough to produce a 7.
