We were doing fine for quite some time and then december came :( We sell different kind of widgets and we have seperate page for all of our widgets. Never involved in bad SEO work. Tried to be fair in all aspect of SEO. I am sure i missed something and in the last google update in early december we lost 80% of ranking for different widgets.
Did my research and found few things. One thing which was surprising was if I type in google -> "mysitename widget" my site doesnt come first, it used to before december. And all of my competitors rank one for "theirsitename widget" keyword and one of my other site also rank one for the same.
I think time has come to take some desperate action since our site is down for almost a month.
My reasonings are
1) Over Optimization penalty for word widgets.
If this is the case then what can I do to come out of this penalty. I will apprecaite your suggestions.thanks
