When using the command
link: www.mysite.com I keep getting different results from those I get when I use
link:www.mysite.com

What is all about there?

Also, when I tried site:www.mysite.com and site: mysite.com I found out that the first one does not produce any results while other one do...

Can anyone clear this one for me?

Thanks

Yes, link:www.example.com returns a selection (only a selection, mind) of those pages that link to you.

link: www.example.com returns all of those pages that contain the word "link" and the TEXT www.example.com - those pages may not, and probably do not, actually include a link..

An example of the latter would be a sentence like this...

"Only a fool would link to www.example.com"
