Hi,

1) link:http://www.xyz.com will give you back links
2) site:www.xyz.com will you the pages indexed
3) site:www.xyz.com - abc , searching inside the site pages of xyz.com
4) related:http://xyz.com related sites
5) cache:http://xyz.com cache of the page

lets contribute to learn all the searching tricks, one which I want is "search the backlinks without our pages", something like

link:http://www.xyz.com ~xyz.com

They make it tricky to search backlinks without my own included, so I search for the (rather unusual) name of my domain, and use -site: to exclude it.

widgetopia -site:widgetopia.com

This doesn't seem to work using link: & -site: so I came up with a workaround. Curiously it returns far more backlinks than link: without false positives. You could use any unusual, distinctive text combination on your pages.

google makes the life tougher but yahoo is simpler with searches

for backlinks excluding few domains

link:http://www.xyz.com -site:www.xyz.com -site:www.abc.com

this works for yahoo and somehow its suffice also. Do we have some secret searches for google.
