Is this as good as it gets?

Or is the site still "sandboxed?"

I have a site that I submitted to G six months ago. Back in September various pages started showing up in the index. Each page is devoted to a particular brand of widget, or the individual model of widget from that brand.

My best-ranking key phrase is "Acme widgets," with that page at #31 in the results. Other pages are anywhere from #45 to #250 or so.

I have another site that features many of the same brands and models. I did that site over two years ago, and it ranks in the top five for nearly every key phrase.

Everything I've done with the new site is the same as the older site: title, H1, keyword density, ALT tags, etc. One thing I've done with the new site is pursue incoming links; I now have hundreds. The old site only has about five or six incomings.

So, do you think this is the best I'm going to get, or will another update possibly improve things?

I realize that's asking for a crystal ball, but my frustration level is through the roof.
