This is my first post. I am from a non-technical background and know very little about SEOs. I have build a website on meditation.
(I am not posting it's url as I find that no one post his/her site's url here. Can anybody elaborate why?)
The site has been indexed by google, has been included in directories of zeal.com and dmoz.org. I have also arranged to get a good number of backlinks. Slowly it has started getting visitors.
However, still Google has not assigned me any page rank. The site is only two & half month old. Is it the sandbox effct?
Can anybody tell me approximately after how much time, my site'll get any page rank.
Regards
Shekhar
Yep. Toolbar PR and the PR Google uses for the algo often are quite different. This tends to be obvious if you follow a number of obviously non-commercial SERPs. Pages with PR0 rank incredibly well for SERPs that they apparently shouldn't. The reason why becomes apparent if you are aware of high PR links the site has that aren't being reflected in the toolbar.
(1) Why nobody posts his/her site's url here? I believe that it helps to maintain quality discussions in the forums. But if somebody wants to take some expert's opinions on his/her website, how can s/he do it without posting the site's name?
(2) What is the full form of SERP and PRO?
(Please don't laugh. These are honest queries of a newbie :)

It is generally considered bad form to include your site's URL as some use posting their URL's on this site as a way to have an inbound link from webmaster world. Basically a way to promote your site and contribute to your own pagerank.
SERP = Search Engine Result Page
PR0 = Page Rank (and the number) 0

The best way to learn is by asking ;) HOWEVER... there is a fantastic link at the top of this page to the webmaster world glossary. Give it a whirl...
Seems heading at fast pace to become expert...
My pace is not fast. The fact is that I get very little time for all this. That's why I asked above questions. I don't think that I can become an expert in all these SEOs without spending substantial amount of time on it (which unfortunately I dont' have)
