I searched for "Larry Wall" and a book result was returned... They must have scanned some books already.

Hmmm, in Firefox, the page images don't show. Hard to believe the designers over at Google are MS heads.

Are they just supposed to have the first 5 pages of each book? I was surprised they had that many pages actually.

It's quite strange, but Google dont actualy make money on the sale if you click through. I belive this is for the duration of the beta, but I think now that the IPO is over the business heads at Google will really be looking at every aspoect of the business and extracting all they can from it.

I have noticed also over the past few weeks that book results are starting to show through. It's a pretty cool feature.

With reguards to the 5 pages. I belive they scann the entire book, but only allow 5 page views per user for copyright reasons.

Mack.

Is there a way to search for a query only in books? I can't seem to find an option like that.

When I was looking at this you can only view 5 pages per query. I think you could actually view the entire book if you have enough time to move from page to page via queries.

I just tried it again, if you query on a page number, you can move ahead 3 pages at a time using the Search within this Book box.
