Site search ends with "Similar pages" only

Google "site:www.mysite.com" ...

When I google "site:www.mysite.com", it returns a lot of URLs with "Similar pages" only; like:

http://www.mysite.com/somepage.shtml
[url=http://#]Similar pages[/url]

All the web pages have title/description. How to understand this situation? Does this mean googlebot failed to find the title/description of those pages?

there have been several threads about this. try searching WebmasterWorld for "similar pages" (with the quotes) to see a number of them.
