anchor text backlinks - reason for a G penalty?

My site got banned from yahoo. THey were kind enough to tell me that this in indeed the fact but didnīt tell me the exact reason yet. When they sent me their standard list of possible reasons I read that also the usage of reciprocal link programs can be the reason for the penalty. Of course I thought what they meant is those big link farms, not topic related a.s.o.

But now Iīm scared Google may have problems with my link directory. Altough I donīt cheat using cloaking, non-related links to boot PR a.s.o there I clearly state that all links must be reciproqued and which exact way that should happen, and that only sites with a PR>1 are allowed (to avoid listing banned sites). Instead of allowing a backlink like "mywebsite.com - blah blah" I expect a backlink that says "mybestkeyword" . Now, in case Google checks that, do you think it might see that as problematic?

Reciprocal links between related topics are the cementation of common courtesy in real life and the same in hyperspace.
Sometimes people posh this up with phrases like "centres of excellence" and "related topics", or even "relevant searches"
But unless your link target is a dirty spammer, my view is that there's no problem at all with a mututal sharing of sites - several of my sites support that, and none contradict it.

You might be better off by randomizing the link anchor text and not just using mybestkeyword everytime.

I would personally nix the pr requirement, or at least, any mention of it on your site.
