Does Google have problems reading information/content in tables, like it has with frames.

Because one of my sites is not getting picked up other than the homepage. And it has been on Google for over 4 months now.

Seems dam long.

No, Google is fine with tables - at least as far as I've seen, and I've nested them four deep on occasions when CSS didn't seem to want to play ball across all the browsers I try.

Google doesn't have a problem reading tables, but keep in mind the source order.

A left-hand coloumn is going to be read first and be considered more important. The right-hand column, which is usually where the content is, will be knocked down in relevence to some degree. It's a matter of debate as to how much.

Don't forget the dodge of putting two rows in the left column, an empty one and then the navigation. In the right column, do a row-span.
Now your content is ahead of the navigation.
