Sortable Columns vs. Duplicate Content

Will creating new pages with a different order of items incur penalties?

Hey all,

This has probably been answered before, but I thought I would bring it up anyway. Currently I have my sub categories in the main categories sortable by many different options. I do it for the users so they can bring certain things to the top, but in theory it creates pages with the exact same content just reordered. I've never experienced a problem from doing this.

However, I'm now looking at doing a similar thing on an even deeper level where sorting in some instances will reorder 25+ items, but in other parts where there's only 1 or 2 items often times nothing will appear to have happened. I'm sorting these pages with a "?reorder=q" type of thing in the URL and am wondering if I do it on such a small scale if I will incur any type of duplicate content penalties. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
