Hi all,
I have got a PR4 website for two and half years now. During that period, I have linked my site with numerous sites so I increased total of my backlinks for about 60%. Also, I continuously added new content to the site.

Recently, all of my newer pages previously having PR0, got PR4. But, my home page still have the same PR4....

If inner pages got their PR share, why my homepage still got unchanged PR?

I assume that if inner pages got updated PR, the same thing has to be with my home page too.. Am I wrong?
I appreciate your thoughts!

Just because the toolbar doesn't show any more green doesn't mean your home page's PR hasn't increased. It may have gone from PR4.025 to PR4.975

That's true coconutz:- makes me wonder how many sites that are on the threshold actually go down a PR, on an update, if a site adds a few more out-bounds without reciprocation...

Like coconutz says, your home page is probably just a high 4. And/or you're doing a good job at deep and internal linking.

Don't forget that as Google has added pages over the years, the threshold for any particular PR number changes with the number of pages in the index.

nzmatt, you dont lose a page's PR on out-bounds, you just give less PR to the rest of the links. By adding more OBL, you just give them less PR.

... and if you send less PR through your internal links, then you'll get less back through your internal links. OBLs leak PR which would otherwise be recycled around your site.

Thanks guys!

Do we know about the timing of the new update?
I have red somewhere, it occurs few times a year, is that correct? When the last one happened?

PR updates are thought to be constant now. The last toolbar update was in ealy October. If google has gone to quarterly update on the toolbar, the next one should be early January.

Last toolbar PR update? I think it was sometime in October...
Next toolbar PR update? How about January 17th? It's a good a date as any. Hard to say, some believe that Google has gone to a quarterly toolbar update. I believe actual PR is updated much more frequently.

Google Directory PR seems to have been updated recently [webmasterworld.com].
