Sponsored Listings Appearing in Main Results

Hi,

I just did a search for "keyword keyword", and up came 13 listings in the main results page instead of 10. They were:
- The No.1 result which has been the same for years.
- 4 new indented results which seem to be sponsored as they match sites that have been high in sponsored listings recently.
- 8 more results matching positions 2-9 as normal.

These sponsored listings were not listed as sponsored links, but simply indented beneath the No.1 result, appearing like normal results. It looks as though Google are at least seriously considering inserting paid results into the main listings.

probably make their results a little more accurate then for some cats that I watch!

Not sure they would so without indicating somewhere that it's a 'sponsored link' though.

Probably some adware.

Check your computer with Adaware [lavasoftusa.com], Spybot [safer-networking.org] & Hijack This [spychecker.com].

And switch to Firefox [mozilla.org]. :)

This may be a dumb question; but was the indented result for the same site as the one above it?

Agree with Chndru - you have spyware on your computer. I've seen it on a friends computer exactly as you're describing. I seriously doubt G would ever move to paid inclusion, and I sure hope they don't.
