VIRTUAL hosting

will it effect my pr?

i dont know much about VIRTUAL / dedecated hosting.. well a little bit will VIRTUAL hosting effect my PR?
i heard it does..
as i never called my hosting before VIRTUAL whats does it mean.. is that like the one where they only update what you upload 2 times a day or is it live?
i got told some wrong stuff aye.. please help.

Virtual hosting is simply where an ISP puts more than one customer website on a single PC. To each customer, it "looks" like they have their own FTP and Web server. Hence the name virtual.

Dedicated hosting is where one customer has the whole PC to himself.

So the only real difference is that your website is being powered by a webserver which may be powering 15 or 20 (perhaps more) other websites.

Often, all those other websites will be on the same IP address as yours (which may or may not contribute to SE rank - I have read argument on here to suggest that a dedicated IP per website is better). But that in itself won't affect PageRank which is purely based on link structure. It's a link popularity score, that's all.
