Hi

My website now has a description at google, displayed under the indexed link of ny website.

It used to be some text from the page content, or from the page title. But now it was replaced by a nice descriptive sentence that is not from page content, but it accurately describes my website.
my website shows up at top of its keyword: [snip]
btw, there is no description meta tag in my pages.

Does google do that?
and does that mean my website now has a better position in google? It has a pagerank 5 for aout 3 months now

Did you look in DMOZ? It may be they are pulling the DMOZ directory listing to use for the description.

and when i got listed, google pulled the description from there?
