Cache Date Dec. 31, 1969

seeing strange things in the cache

I have been away for a few weeks, so forgive me if this is old news but I am noticing that I went from 100+ pages in the directory to 350+ pages this week.

I see the cache date for many of these pages dates back to early april and march 2004. Several pages have a chache date of Dec. 31, 1969

I also see that the index is listing pages that have never been on the website, but that must have been found somewhere on the internet in a crawl (eg. www.mydomain.com/mis-spelling-of-an-actual-page.html)

The index also lists some pages from our 2003 site structure that no longer exist, have long ago been 301'd.

this post sat waiting for review for several days.... anyone else seeing Dec. 31, 2004 cache dates on any pages? I am still seeing these dates, particularly on some of the pages indexed with tracking urls.
