Google Displaying Cached Date as Dec 1969

What does this means

hi...
Google is showing cache date as 31 dec 1969 for one of my site. what does this means....as much as i know...google was never existed at that time.....LOL...

Just thought I'd add one more to the list of specific instances. I have a site that I manage where some of the pages are showing the '69 date on the cache. These pages are relatively new, within the last 3-4 months. Other pages in the site, done at the same time have dates in late November.

Not sure what, if anything this means, but it does rule out the 'deleted page' page theory...at least as a sole reason for being marked in this way.

Sure wish Google Guy would come back and shed some light on the problem. ; )

My site had the same problem. Got a reply from google today:

Thank you for your note. We're aware of this problem, and our engineers are currently investigating. We hope to have this fixed soon. We appreciate your patience, and thanks for taking the time to write.

wel this problem is not new anymore coz now it is effecting one forum also.....

last week i noticed this kind of probelm with few pages of some forum....

But as usual that was the only reply that can be expected from Google....

Funny - when I started my OSX laptop this morning I saw a 1969 date stamp in top right corner of my desktop in place of the usual date and time.

Thought I was having a nightmare and hijackers had taken over my computer as well as my Google listings.
