Google Directory: updated on regular basis?

How long it usually takes to update it's directory from dmoz?

Google directory is updated with certain frecuency.
How often uses to be that frecuency?
Does anybody know about it?

I would say that google is updated daily, hourly, and always. I watch my serp's dance for some sites from day to day, while other less competitive fields change less. Some say it differs, and others will say it is constant. I used to check the different datacenters way back to see actual changes, now I seem them always.

I am sure someone can put some more detail on top of this

The Google Directory updates from the Open Directory about once a month. It was much less frequent last year, but seems to be roughly back on schedule now.

Interesting note about the Google Directory / ODP data. In a category I watch closely they updated that section and my site was finally listed. This was two weeks ago. Two days ago they reverted back to the old copy for this specific section? Testing something maybe?

Yeah, I think they are "testing" something. And making me testy in the process ;)

G directory does seem to be getting updated more frequently (again) .. monthly seems about right to me. Everything Google appears to be in some odd limbo right now, directory has either reverted to last month's version, or something else. Alongside the directory update/reversion .. serps seem to be a combo of some new listings plus some legacy data from 2 months ago.

I'm poring some of my excess brain power into the subject today due to being both negatively and positively affected by it for various sites.

As an aside, Adsense seems to be having some cloggage today too, but perhaps I'm offering way too much commentary off-topic for this thread.

So comments seems to agree on monthly frequency.
(Could be worst!)
Did you see changes at begining of the month or at the end? (Should we expect changes for this first week of November or a whole month ahead?)

My Google directroy entry has vanished - although I'm still there on the ODP.
