4 Months and Domain is Still Not Redirected

Its now 4 months, since I added a redirect (301) from example.com to www.example.com. These two machine's are not different IP address. Still, after 4 months, google still returns results of both pages when I do a site:example.com and also link:example.com returns zero results while link:www.example.com returns 40 results. So, these two pages are not being treated the same.

This is how my server header checker output looks like, does anyone see any errors in this?

Server Response: [example.com...]
Status: HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently
Date: Sun, 31 Oct 2004 17:12:14 GMT
Server: Apache/1.3.29
Location: [example.com...]
Keep-Alive: timeout=5, max=100
Connection: Keep-Alive
Transfer-Encoding: chunked
Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1
X-Pad: avoid browser bug

are you sure that this won't be considered to be the same site after the redirect?

Thats my point semiprofessional, it should have been considered same site, but it is still not considered same site for 4 months now.
