Google Cache

Does the Google cache reflect the view of your site the Google spirder sees

Hello, the website I promote has over 19,000 pages all spidered by Google. Most of the pages are quite large, over 100k, the Google cache seems to only cache the first 101k of the page. Viewing the cache it shows Google has cached up to half the page, not the remaining half.

My question is - does this reflect what the spider sees and therefore the page is ranked on just the content that's in the Google cache? Or does the spider view the rest of the page and Google uses the whole page to rank the page?

There is no reason why the spider or cache should stop at a certain place on the pages as some of the pages are fully cached.

I'm new to the Webmaster World forums so please excuse me if I've posted in the wrong area or my topic has been discussed elsewhere. I've read a lot of information and ideas about the Google cache but can't find an answer to whether the Google cache has any significance to the way the site is view by the spider.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Sam

i think i have read before that they only look at the first 101k, but i'm not positive - try searching for a sentence from the bottom of one of your big pages and see if google returns your page...
