Google Image bot

First i would like to thank you all for the great help you are providing to webmasters. I really did benefit a lot from reading this forum.

I have a question hoping that somebody could help me find the answer.

I have a site with a PR4 for its main index page. I have realised that this google image bot is visiting a lot since the begining of this month and keep coming back everyday to get images. What i noticed is the other googlebot stopped visiting my site except maybe once or twice to get 1 or two text pages eventhough that so many things have changed in the site and more internal linking have been added.

My question is; Do you think that the normal bot is not visiting due to the visit of the image bot? or what do you think?

Shouldn't make any difference - I banned image bot from my sites months ago - haven't noticed any negative effect as of yet.

I very much doubt that an increase in visits from the imagebot will effect visits from the googlebot. The two are seperate systems.

Yep, Bobo. I have seen it on a PR4 site too. Lots of Imagebot, no googlebot. dont think it matters much, usually these things dont happen to many people at the same time. Relax :)
