100 link per page Google rule

hi,

we are wondering whether the 100 link per page Google rule is new or has always been around

we seem to remember a 10KBs per page but not 100 hrefs ...

Remember the 100kb per page is text not img's.

It is a 100 link per page suggestion, not a rule, and it has been there for at least a year.
