Hi,
im sure this is a pretty commmon problem, but id like the freshest tips from ya all!

My problem is that google is spidering my pages, no problem with that , but it doesnt seem to list them in their database. What can i do to make sure that they get listed into their database?

Anyhow have hints? Im really interested in hearing anything sensible people have to say about this. Its pretty odd, because first they listed a few pages for a few days, and then afterwards, just gone : (

Let me know!

Thanks guys

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, Aquitaine

The problem of pages coming and going is very common. When a page is spidered, it generally acquires a fresh date (a green date) in the listings, and an enhanced position in the results.
However, it isn't really in the index yet - that takes longer.

I'll tell you what happened to me recently - I changed a page to point to a different external site.
After two days, I was in the index, with fresh dates, and the cache showed my new content. After a week or so of being visited every day, the visits dried up, the cache went back to the old version, and its date (shown at the top of the cache) went back almost 3 weeks.
After a couple of weeks like that, the fresh dates reappeared, the cache was updated and once it settled again, the new page version is correctly cached.

If you think your code is clean and valid HTML, it really may be as simple as sitting and waiting just a little longer...

Agreed, I to have had the same issue, Google and its database seems to be in Flux right now with stuff moving in and out hourly. My site has been crawled deep crawled...everyday for a week and still no change in hte cache, content, or rank.

Be patient, I anticipate things will smooth out back to consistancy soon...I hope :-)
