Depends on which search engine viva.

Try using site search [webmasterworld.com] to look for site banned. This should give you some ideas.

Well, before you go phoning Google Techs and screaming blue murder, what makes you think your site is banned. Are none of the pages in the index or have you just been booted down to the bottom. A ban means that you have been manually removed for something - in which case I'd agree with BigDave that a move to a new URL is the fastest way to get back on.

Couldn't agree more, also bear in mind that sometimes what looks like a ban could be an algo change.

viva
You started another thread on much the same topic two weeks ago.

Slow down!

I've just moved one well established site (first in one-and-a-quarter million results for my search phrase) to another ISP.
Right now only 1/3 of it is in the index.
It's been three weeks.

Do I panic?
No....

Google has four billion pages to sort out. What are my thousand pages? Yes, a tiny fraction of one percent.
So I'll take my time.

And so must you...
