"Local results"

non relevant results when searching for our company name

So our company name is "Sunshine Widgets", and we are located in, let's say, China. If I do a search for our company name, then right at the top, above our web site (No1 in the SERPS), are "Local results for widgets near Sunshine, FL" (names changed, only example)

As we are based in China (example) then results for a small town in Florida are not really relevent, are they? And the town in question is indeed a small town with about 85000 inhabitants (I looked it up since I had not heard of it before).

Sure if I search for "widgets in sunshine", I would be happy to see this.

Anyone else seen these results where they are unwanted?
