Dates not match on result page and in cache

Not sure if it was ever discussed here, if it was, please ignore.

when I search for my keyword, and my home page is shown is results, it shows following:

www.domain.com/ - 3k - Sep 8, 2004 - Cached - Similar pages

But when I click on "Cached", the cache page shows on the top:

This is G o o g l e's cache of [domain.com...] as retrieved on Sep 9, 2004 01:12:28 GMT.

So the dates do not match. One suggests 8 Sept and the other suggests 9th Spet.
