Titles and Descriptions Showing... Sometimes...

Same Page, Same Data Center, Different KW's

I just noticed while looking at the serps on some of the data centers that seem to be updating, that the same page will not have a title and description for a terms, and then show a title and description when in the SERPS for a different terms.

example:

www.mysite.com/widgets-blue.html

search for bluewidgets - no title and description
search for blue widgets - title and description

In addition to this I am noticing a lot of pages in the index today with titles and descriptions that have not been in the index for a couple of months, when I click cached I am seeing a 2-3 week old version of these pages.

This makes me wonder what's hapeneing, google has cached versions of pages that were not showing in the index within several weeks of when it cached them, then several weeks after it cahced them, it now shows them in the index. I am also seeing several new cached versions of pages that have been in the index the whole time, but have not shown any fresh tags for months.

Anyone else seeing these types of things?

BTW. Several of the top positions that I have had for a few years dissapeared a couple months ago, now I am seeing most of those showing even better rankings in the serps along with several new KW's I never ranked for at all.

In my industry I am seeing a lot of changes in the serps, some of my competitors who vanished for no aparent reason a couple months ago are also coming back to where they once were, it's looking like better results over-all.... from where I sit it looks like an update.
