Googlebot requesting nonexistant .asp files

Smells like a worm, anyone seen this before?

I've noticed some strange requests, apparently from Googlebot, for .asp files that dont exist on my site.

eg:
GET /.asp HTTP/1.0
GET /delivery.htm.asp HTTP/1.0
GET /index.html.asp HTTP/1.0

All with the user agent Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.google.com/bot.html)

The html pages existed on the old actinic site before the new PHP site went live (in april) but the site has never had any asp pages.

Anyone seen this before?

Could it be that domain was previously owned by someone else?

I have such requests with MSN bot, so it really could be just a worm with camouflage :)
