I have not been able to access google.com from my desktop computer at all. I can however access it from my laptop over the same network. Is there some hidden something in the desktop that is blocking my access from google.com and how do I fix it?

My first thought is you should check your "hosts" file. G draws on a number of different datacenters and the one you have set in your hosts file may be temporarily off-line or even shut down.

I think something is gooing on with the google servers, l have been getting the same errors, sometimes google is unable to process search request, just like what happpened sometime last month.... some virus was blogging down their server, there should be a discussion about it here somewhere.....
