Then Florida hit...and bigger seemed better...for a while at least.
But, it seems that micro/niche/expert sites have gained ground recently, at least versus targeted pages of larger sites, where both are competing for a given competitive keyword phrase.
Is it just me? Or are others seeing something similar? We see it as a general (short term) trend in multiple categories, both commercial and info-oriented.
I still 'feel' that each page is treated individually rather than a site's theme. Obviously, sites with hundreds of pages on the same subject all with good internal linking will get great results but I haven't found their pages to rank any higher than sites with several subjects with hundreds of pages on each subject.
Was that clear? It's late and I haven't slept for around 30 hours ....
During the past two weeks, I notice that number of visitors to micro/niche sites has been increasing quite noticeably but not universally. Thus I check the keywords, and see many of them re-appear after being dumped to nowhere since around Feb 04 of this year.
