PR Question - 301 Redirect

hi,

I have a forum setup at www.domain.com/forums and I use a 301 redirect for www.domain.com to take it to the forums.
My site has been stuck on PR5 for ages now, even though we have a number of PR6 an PR7 links coming in so it should have moved up by now.
Im thinking, in all my linkbuilding I have just been linking to the domain without the /forums - do you think this is a factor in the PR not going up?
If so, and I install a Page on the root domain - will this have higher PR?

Ya this can be the reason, try to get some links pointing to your forums. If the 301 redirect is recently done then wait for few days and see what is happens.

If / has a higher PR than /forums I suppose you could use mod_rewrite to display the forum index on /
